The situation in EUROPE at the time of LUTHER'S turn from the CATHOLIC CHURCH in regard to the rotten life style of the Cleric and specially of the MONKS was coming to an all time high. High in their behavior toward the public in general and the female population in particular. Thousands and thousands of these Monks wondered about the country site practicing whoring and it was no surprise that the venereal diseases spread something awful. One of the contemporary Medical Doctors of that time WENDELIN HOCK M.D.,approached the DUKE of Wuerttemberg to restrict the movements of the Monks. As he said " They spread these "Lust diseases not only among the population, but they may even take them to 'HEAVEN'". A number of German cities had to reserve special Hospitals for Gonorrhea, Syphilis and similar illnesses.
BARTHOLOMAEUS MONTAGNA, professor of Medical Science, at Padua (northeast of Italy) did have first hand experience with this problem. He wrote a book, in which he outlined the serious illnesses which were spread not alone among the Monks and the female population in contact with the Monks, but also right up to the POPE'S inner circle.
LUTHER'S departure from the CATHOLIC CHURCH put the limelight on the
terrible conduct of the cleric of the CATHOLIC CHURCH. All over EUROPE, writers, poets and people of influence did not spare any efforts to bring the criminal behavior of these representatives of "GOD" to be known to the rest of the world.
At the same time when LUTHER stood up to the CATHOLIC CHURCH some of his
contemporaries as Zwingly of Switzerland and others put pressure on the CATHOLIC CHURCH to allow priests etc. to be allowed to marry. DESIDERIUS ERASMUS of ROTTERDAM, who was a writer of great prestige, contributed considerable written material to undermine the power of the POPE'S. Two of his best books are "The manual of the CHRISTIAN KNIGHT" (1503) and 'THE PRAISE OF FOLLY." (1509)
At the time of the Synod of TRIENT, again the pressure to force the cleric to stay single, was pushed. Celibacy was to be the only way a CATHOLIC PRIEST could perform his duties. But the worst punishment did not have the desired results. In Poland, during that time, most of the Priests were married (openly or in secrecy). The fact, that celibacy was not uniformly accepted by the cleric can be seen, as years later, again and again the same subject came up.
More and more PRIESTS were forced to have their sexual relationships
hidden from the public. Since they could not openly be married, they could not see any reason to be bound to one female (or male). IN this regard the confessional was a terrific way to find new victims to their crime.While in countries, which were open toward reformation, the cleric (PRIESTS) had to be more cautious in their behavior, that was not so in countries where CATHOLICISM was pre-dominant. As an example CARDINAL BELLARMIN lived a life as if the reformation never happened. As legend tells he had 1624 females with whom he had sexual relations. In addition he practiced sodomy with his
four goats!
No proclamation, orders or instructions by the CATHOLIC HIERARCHY, could prevent the debauchery of the ROMAN CATHOLIC PRIESTS, MONKS etc. In desperation, ROME decreed that the female help in the Home of a Priest e.g. cook, cleaner etc., must be at least 50 years old. This did not make any dent into their conduct, but it had the result that not too many children were born. This was obviously the solution, it did not matter how these whore masters conducted themselves, as long as there was no proof of their miserable behavior.
This goes on today as well, only it is more disguised.
In the meantime, even the most optimistic in the CATHOLIC CHURCH acknowledged that all the rules, recommendations, even threat of punishment, did not eliminate the problem of immoral behavior. By public relations efforts of the CATHOLIC CHURCH the public was made to believe that all is well. However, it was not. The public was told that the PRIESTS are living the life of celibacy. But, when it was necessary certain activities of the PRIESTS were swept under the table. On January 7. 1796 JOSEPH KORANDS, BISHOP OF FREISINGEN AND REGENSBURG, wrote a letter to the cleric " We do not wish to have any of these improprieties to come to the attention of the public. We do not wish to be in contempt and do not wish to be exposed to mockery and ridicule. " WE ARE USING THE LATIN LANGUAGE in order to preserve the honor for the cleric ........"
In a circulation letter dated April 1. 1824 BISHOP IGNAZ ALBERT VON AUGSBURG write's :" Yes, we know that by some Priests it is habit to come to festivities with their female cooks and then full of food and 'vollgesoffen'
(drunk) to return to their home." The situation was even worse in SPAIN. One of the upper CHURCH OFFICIALS in SPAIN declared :" it would be necessary to use the severity of the inquisition to refrain the MONKS and cleric from conducting criminal acts."
In order to understand the enormous power the CATHOLIC CHURCH and it's individual POPE'S, CARDINALS, BISHOPS, PRIESTS, MONKS and cleric had over the population of the western world, one has to examine the structure of the dictatorial power. Why was it that very few succeeded in standing up to this CATHOLIC MONSTER ?. Because any EMPEROR, KING, DUKE, KNIGHT and so on who wanted to speak out against the CATHOLIC tyranny was immediately excommunicated and therefore was practically as good as dead. No one, who wanted to live in peace would dare speak out against the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. This power was used right from the POPE down to the last and lowest MONK.
Many of the monasteries were strong enough to sustain themselves and to defend themselves against any possible attacks, either verbally or otherwise. But, most of these institutions were looking for additional support. This was accomplished by inviting certain influential Government officials to be their "SCHUTZHERR." Some of these Princes of the European principalities did take the opportunity to take a monastery under their umbrella, not forgetting their own monetary advantages in doing so. Not all were that corrupt and therefore did not get involved with these peddlers of
CATHOLICISM.Where ever possible I am giving names and dates to assure that the reader can check on the validity of these writings.
One of the many who did not bow to the CATHOLIC CHURCH was DUKE JULIUS von BRAUNSCHWEIG.He was not intimidated by the threats of the CATHOLIC CHURCH and did not stand for the improprieties in or outside of the monasteries. In his jurisdiction , a certain ABBESS von GANDERSHEIM (her maiden name was WARBERG), was sexually actively involved with the male administrator of the monastery. The DUKE got hold of this "HOLY" lady,had her arrested and inserted in the walls of his castle (alive)! (1587).
AT one time there were almost as many monasteries in EUROPE as there are sand granules on the beach. When we look at the monasteries and investigate their usefulness for the rest of the world, we find that these institutions did nothing to improve the world. On the contrary, they contributed a lot to the misery of the population. The defenders of the MONKS and monasteries, make us believe that these MONKS brought CHRISTIANITY to the farthest corners of the world. That is a very doubtful accomplishment. It does not matter what country or continent these monsters went to spread CHRISTIANITY. In very short time after their arrival, Syphilis and other such illnesses deminished the population to deplorable levels , not only in numbers but also to their diminished enjoyment of life. One particular example would be for anyone who doubts, to check the terrible bad influence of CHRISTIANITY on the third world. Take COLUMBUS for example. He is hailed to be the famous explorer of the new world. What he really was, a CHRISTIAN FANATIC, who in the name of the LORD, killed thousands for his own personal gain and of course the crown of SPAIN. That side of the story is not told in history books because the VATICAN has still enough power to suppress the truth.
Just to give you a glimpse of the terrible results of the explorations and exploitations by COLUMBUS. On his first voyage, Columbus kidnapped some ten to twenty Indians and took them back to SPAIN. Only about half survived the voyage. On his next voyage, COLUMBUS had seventeen ships at his disposal. He dictated to every tribe in each island he sailed to, that they must be converted to CHRISTIANITY. His accomplishments were confiscation of the gold, food and anything the natives had. He than enslaved the natives for his own gain, by forcing them to be slaves in digging for gold and other valuable stones. He was a dictator of the worst kind. He used punishment of the natives to increase his hold of power over them. The slightest offences were punished by cutting off an ear, nose etc. Many Negroes and other native people were enslaved for the rest of their lives for the financial benefit of the CROWN OF SPAIN (and subsequently the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH.)In 1496 approx. 300,000 native Americans were living in what is now called HAITI. By 1516, thanks to the ruthless labor policies initiated by COLUMBUS only about 12,000 remained. By 1542 less than 200 Indians were still alive and by 1555 no one was left. All in the name of "GOD" and THE CATHOLIC CHURCH. The same terrible policy was later on used by the WHITE AMERICANS who systematically
eradicated the Indian Population. Also in the name of "GOD" and "BIG MONEY." But that is another story. Sorry, I swayed a little, but it is important to know, Religion in general and CATHOLICISM in particular has done incredible harm to the world.
Other accomplishments of the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. The first "KLOSTER" (Monastery) in the new world was established in Mexico City in 1525. From that day on Mexico, Central America and South America would not be the same anymore. Slavery, Suppression, forced labor, sexual transmitted diseases were the order of the day. Similar were the acts of these corrupted Church people e.g. in the Mariannas (Island group in the pacific). These Islands were occupied by happy, natural fitting Nature people. Of the 150,000 Islanders only 1500 survived the onslaught of the CATHOLIC CHURCH. CHRISTIAN ILLNESSES, Drunkenness and the Evangelism of the Franciscan Monks reduced this once happy group to nothing. It is said, that the ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH was instrumental in advancing and preserving existing Science. That is a joke. People who dared to say the world is round were put on the rack. Scientists who studied the stars had to retract their findings or they were blinded, or worse. Take a look at the GREEKS, they did not know anything about CATHOLICISM and they were instrumental in developing new science and preserving it for generations to come. No credit to the CATHOLIC CHURCH. If you consider where most of the poor people are living - in CATHOLIC dominated regions. They know, as long as people believe in their corrupted doctrine and as long as the people are being kept uneducated, they can still rule any way they like. By the way, when it comes to religious stupidity, The ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH is dominating, but by no means the only on. A few years ago, I witnessed a plane load of CHURCH PEOPLE from the Midwest of the US visiting Haiti. Near the palace of the (then) dictator, these members of a church group came to Haiti to spread the word of "JESUS". No , they were not CATHOLICS. They advertised a big rally and invited the native people of Port-au-Prince to participate in "GLORY OF GOD.". Thousands of these unfortunate, poor and uneducated people came to hear the wisdom of these religious frauds. Television cameras were working overtime to record this great event. When all was over, the population was as poor as before, but there was one great happening : "THE DUTY FREE SHOP ON THE AIRPORT WAS COMPLETELY SOLD OUT." Not by the locals...., you guessed it. All in the name of the Lord. One could write volumes and more volumes of books on the people who spread the word of God. Today, anyone who wants to be educated in these matters has no problem to find authentic sources to research the history of the CATHOLIC CHURCH and their FRAUDS. In regard to the MONKS there is a terrific book, written by karl Julius Weber - The MONKS - ( it is out of print)
In completing this part, I would encourage to read about the many monasteries where young boys of 6 - 10 years old were induced into the worst conditions imaginable. The parents were not allowed to have any contact with their children. This enabled these Monsters to abuse these boys in every conceivable way. Not long ago, some members of a religious organization, which was supposed to educate young boys, was investigated. Everyone knows what the outcome of the court case was. The boys were abused, sexually and otherwise, for years. Some of them have scars for the rest of their lives.
All in the name of the Lord.
This brings us to the end of the story of religious monsters. I have only touched this subject superficially and shown the tips of the icebergs.
Such were the times hundreds of years ago. The CATHOLIC priests of today, are no different then they were hundreds of years ago. The only thing that has changed is , they are more careful doing the same things. When they are caught, the diocese will transfer these priests somewhere else. If the situation is already out of control than they make financial offers (in secret). Only very seldom does a case of sexual misconduct go before the courts. One can deduct that for every case going to the courts there are hundreds which are settled out of court or not pursued by the victims.
I have written what I perceive to be the truth. I am not telling anyone what to do or believe. We all have a brain, it is up to us to use it.
Like one US Senator said a while ago: " there is a limit to Intelligence, but there is no limit to Stupidity."
