CENTRAL AMERRICA 1972

During 1972 we drove from south western Ontario, Canada to the Panama Canal.

This trip was made with a Canadian built FORD - Meteor. After 360,000 MILES it was retired.
Second picture from the right shows a mountain behind a unique lake - Lake Managua. This to my knowledge is the only inland lake to contain SHARKS.

Crossing the mountain chain in Costa Rica from west to east was extremely treacherous. Fog, flash floods, washed out roads and very limited road maintenance, especially at 12,000 feet.

Some pictures may not be as sharp as one wishes. Taken them through a "not so clean" windshield did not help either
